Who I can help

At The Calm Lantern Counselling, I believe that everyone has the potential to live a meaningful and fulfilling life. My counselling approach is person-centred, which means I can help you to discover your voice if, at times, you feel unheard and not listened to. Together, we can uncover your own strengths, values, and sense of self-worth to help you move forward in a way that feels right for you.

As a person-centred counsellor, my role is to offer understanding, empathy, and gentle guidance as you navigate your journey, creating a space where you feel truly heard, accepted, and supported.

What makes The Calm Lantern Counselling unique is the option for home-based counselling sessions. For some people, familiar surroundings can make it easier to relax and talk openly. This also helps reduce barriers such as travel difficulties, anxiety about new environments, or mobility and health challenges, provided there is a suitable space for sessions to take place safely and privately.

Accessing Counselling in a Way That Feels Right for You

I understand that everyone feels comfortable in different ways, so I offer several ways to access counselling. Whether you prefer to meet online, over the phone, or face-to-face in your own home, you’ll receive the same calm, compassionate, and confidential support — in a space that feels right for you.

How You Can Access Counselling

Online – You can access counselling from the comfort and privacy of your own home. Online sessions offer flexibility and convenience, making it easier to fit support around your daily life and personal needs.

In Your Home (Face-to-Face) – For some people, being in familiar surroundings helps them feel more at ease and able to open up. I offer home visits where it feels appropriate, providing the same calm, person-centred support in your own space. Each visit is carefully risk-assessed beforehand to make sure the environment is safe, comfortable, and confidential for us both.

Over the Phone – If you prefer not to meet in person or use video, telephone counselling offers a gentle and accessible way to talk. It allows you to connect and be heard wherever you feel most comfortable.
